Fall Newsletter 2021

With 2021 coming to an end, it is a wonderful time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the year ahead. While the coronavirus pandemic continues to present many challenges within Canada and around the world, there are reasons to be optimistic.

Recently appointed Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Sean Fraser, indicated that we are on track to meet our goal of welcoming 401,000 new immigrants to Canada in 2021, with a record-setting 46,315 people obtaining permanent resident status in October 2021. Equally exciting, he reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to ambitious immigration levels in the coming years, with a target of 411,000 in 2022 and an additional 421,000 in 2023. The new Minister has also acknowledged the ongoing challenges stemming from the pandemic, including a significantly increased backlog of temporary and permanent resident applications, and the importance of streamlining the system and digitalizing the application process.

I am honoured by the trust placed in Solutions by our valued clients. Our entire team remains committed to helping individuals and families navigate the complex immigration system and achieve their dream of starting their new life in Canada.

On behalf of the Solutions team, I wish you all the very best as we approach the holiday season. I hope that 2022 brings you and your loved ones much success, health and happiness.
